Pat Kerns participated in a two day workshop sponsored by the Quincy Artist's Guild a couple of weeks ago. The workshop was led by pastel painters Cecile Houel and David Garrison, both from Iowa. Pat, who is already accomplished with pastels, learned to be bolder with color and to use warm and cool colors to increase contrast and interest in her paintings.
